About the job

All our QA roles are focused on projects within the public sector, where reliability, stability, and security are essential. We develop and maintain large-scale administrative systems that support key state processes in areas such as education, public safety, e-government, and social services.

We are looking for dedicated QA Engineers across multiple profiles - Manual Testers, Automation Engineers, Test Analysts, and Test Managers.
Depending on your experience, you will contribute to ensuring quality and stability across a variety of business-critical applications designed for public administration.

You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure high software quality, traceability, and compliance with public-sector standards.
 

Your tasks

• Design, execution, and documentation of test cases for public-sector administrative systems
• Creation of test concepts, test plans, and structured test documentation
• Functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing
• Close cooperation with cross-functional teams to define and maintain quality standards
• Support in establishing and improving test management processes
• Identification, documentation, and monitoring of defects
• (Automation roles) Development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks
• (Test management roles) Coordination of testing activities, reporting, and quality governance

Your experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field 
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software testing or similar positions
• Experience in software testing, test management, and test conception
• Familiarity with agile and classic process models (Scrum, Kanban, V-model, waterfall)
• ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher) — ideal
• Proficiency in German and English (B2 and above)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Team-oriented and structured working style

Nice to have

• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
• Experience with API testing and performance testing
• Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail)
• Experience working in regulated or public-sector environments
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of SQL and data validation
• Experience with Git and modern development practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools
